I've done the "all in" wager three times in my life and I'm 2-1. I'll be 3-1 tomorrow afternoon. This will be an easy game. I've watched the three games that each of these teams has played and I've come to one very solid conclusion. This Germany team stinks. They are so overrated. Jens Lehmann was done a few years ago. He's constantly out of position and he'll give up at least two goals against Portugal. The defense is so slow it looks like they're playing in quicksand. Germany has one player in their squad that could start for any of.the top ten teams in the world and that's Michael Ballack. He's the only one. The rest of the starting team would be on the bench if they were playing for any other country. Gomez and Klose couldn''t score if they were the only two players on the field.

I did play the pick price so the worst I'll do is break even. This Portugal team is way too fast for Germany. They'll come at them in waves from the opening kickoff and won't stop. Portugal is a vastly superior team and they'll hammer Germany on Thursday.

good luck, only thing scary about 'all in' is Portugal could outplay and run circles around Germany...but a couple lucky bounces and/or a bad referee decision could change everything. i like your pick though

What makes me nervous about taking Portugal in this match is that they do not have a striker. I don't think even the great Ronaldo can make up for that fact.

yeah, did not specify. the price for PK regulation time and "portugal to advance" are basically the same but makes all the difference in the betting world

Haven't seen you around here lately, bob. I agree with you're "all in" bet on Portugal.

The pk line has dropped from -155 to -140 at Olympic.

Good Luck.

Hi Mark. You're right. I haven't been around much anymore since all the chicken shit books that were really good places for soccer betting stopped taking US customers. Pinnacle and bet365 were my two main outs but since so many books don't have the balls to tell the US government to "fuck off", I was pretty much forced to pack in my soccer betting. Sports betting is hard enough to beat even under optimum conditions but when the places where you bet 95% of your plays no longer take your action, then it makes it so much harder to beat.

I always enjoy reading your posts and glancing at your picks. There are some pretty sharp people on this forum. Let's root Portugal in tomorrow and best of luck to you for the rest of the tournament.

I really don't think this is the type of game anyone should be "all in" on. I agree Portugal could easily win, but Germany is way too good for this to be your biggest play. Soccer in general probably should never include all in plays because all it takes is a couple of bounces here or there and anyone can win. Switzerland dominated both CZE and Turkey, but lost both games because of bounces here and there that didn't go their way. I personally think Germany wins this game, but I will agree that Portugal has been more impressive so far.

Good luck with your play though.

game has a 50/50 chance...so i ll take germany +0.25, but the under is the much better play...germany in a low scoring game with good chance of OT or penalties..

Portugal wins this easily but I would probably like the - 141 to advance bet if I were going all in.

However, since I am not I am taking the very generous - .5 + 150 Paddy Power is offering right now.

Agree, I will never go all-in against Germany, you can't trust them to lose.

Don't forget the golden rule when betting on soccer:
"Soccer is a game for 22 people that run around, play the ball, and one referee who makes a slew of mistakes, and in the end Germany always wins." (Gary Lineker)
